Pune Dec 4:–Pune Open 2025 is all set to take over the city from 4th to 7th December, marking Pune’s first and biggest pickleball tournament and festival.#WPBLOnTour, in association with Pune United will host the tournament at the state-of-the-art Ajeenkya DY Patil University.An exciting convergence of competitive sport, entertainment, food, and culture; the four-day championship promises top-tier competition, high-energy performances, and community engagement.
With a INR 15 lakh prize pool, Pune Open 2025 will attract athletes, fans, and pickleball enthusiasts from across India. The tournament will feature matches across 5 major competitive categories: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles across multiple age brackets, including Under 14, Under 18, Open, 35+, and 50+.

Bollywood power-couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, co-owners of Pune United, will attend the tournament finale on 7th December 2025, joining fans to celebrate Pune’s rapidly growing pickleball culture.

Pune United is Pune’s official team in the World Pickleball League (WPBL) and is also co-owned by Dr. Sudhir Mehta & Mrs. Sunanda Mehta (Chairman & Director, Pinnacle Industries) and Ajeenkya D. Y. Patil & Pooja Patil (Visionary Educators, Ajeenkya DY Patil University).
