New Delhi, India, Feb 05: Panchajanya magazine which the eminent freedom fighter Deen Dayal Upadhyaya established proudly celebrated its 79th anniversary by bestowing an award to the famous Indian sculptor Naresh Kumar Kumawat. Union Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat attended the event and presented the honour.
The event received additional significance when Panchajanya dedicated a Special Issue to honour the memory and legacy of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee who served as Prime Minister, which was released by Naresh Kumar Kumawat. The anniversary celebration of a publication with a patriotic legacy served as a strong demonstration of national pride which brought together important people and intellectuals and researchers who worked together to protect India’s diverse cultural heritage and intellectual traditions.
Shri Naresh Kumar Kumawat expressed his feelings about the honour by saying, “I experienced great happiness and national pride during my involvement with the 79th anniversary celebration of Panchjanya. The magazine has become a favourite among patriots, representing India in its true honour with a team that recognises that India’s ongoing cultural renaissance should be leveraged to increase tourism, truly combining national identity with cultural identity. I extend my best wishes and deep appreciation to all the exceptional people who have worked with Panchjanya, as the complete development of India will depend on our cultural values to achieve our national goals.”
The felicitation comes as the recognition of Naresh Kumar Kumawat’s momentous artistic works, which have created exceptional cultural benefits for India. His work includes some of the world’s most prominent monumental artworks, which include the 369-foot Statue of Belief Lord Shiva, which stands as the world’s highest statue, and the 75-foot Samudra Manthan Mural, which the Ministry of Culture created at the New Parliament in Delhi. The Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow displays three sculptures which show Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Syama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya as 65-foot bronze statues.
The anniversary function showed that Panchjanya serves as an important platform which demonstrates Indian philosophical thought because it pays tribute to Shri Kumawat and other scholars who link historical intellectual discussions with current cultural revitalisation that combines Indian national identity with its cultural heritage to advance national development.
