Recent export agreements reflect growing demand for structured Korea–India business execution and cross-border operational support
Aug 18— Growing consumer interest in Korean beauty products has created significant opportunities for Korean brands in India, but turning market demand into sustainable business growth remains a challenge for many companies. Brands entering the market must navigate regulatory approvals, import procedures, distribution development, localization, retail partnerships, and ongoing market execution—areas that can become significant barriers despite strong product demand.
Recognizing this gap, AREUM NEXUS PRIVATE LIMITED and its Korean counterpart, OLA Corporation, have developed an integrated Korea–India business ecosystem designed to support companies throughout the expansion process. Rather than focusing solely on market entry, the platform brings together regulatory coordination, import operations, business development, localization, distribution support, marketing execution, and ongoing operational management within a connected structure.
The approach was recently demonstrated during the Korea–India Business Forum and Korea–India Business Partnership events, where three export agreements for Korean beauty brands, valued at US$200,000 each and a combined US$600,000, were concluded with Indian partners. The agreements mark an important commercial milestone while supporting a broader objective: building a practical framework for Korean companies to establish and grow in India.
Unlike traditional market-entry models that often require brands to coordinate separately with consultants, importers, distributors, and marketing agencies, AREUM NEXUS operates as a market-entry and business operations partner that brings these functions together. The objective is to reduce operational complexity while allowing brands to focus on market development and long-term growth.
The model is built around the complementary roles of AREUM NEXUS and OLA Corporation. Based in India, AREUM NEXUS manages local market execution, including regulatory and CDSCO coordination, import operations, distribution development, retailer relationships, localization, and day-to-day business management. In Korea, OLA Corporation works with brands on export preparation, business development, brand strategy, marketing support, and cross-border coordination. Together, the two companies provide continuity between planning in Korea and execution in India.
This collaborative approach was also reflected during the Korea–India Business Forum, where AREUM NEXUS supported the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding involving OLA Corporation, FOY E Retail, and Naturals Salon, one of India’s largest salon networks with more than 900 locations nationwide. The partnership creates opportunities for Korean beauty brands to access multiple channels across retail, salon, distribution, and digital commerce networks.
Commenting on the development, Jason Rhee, CEO of AREUM NEXUS, said: “Many international brands entering India face operational challenges that extend well beyond product demand. Together with OLA Corporation, our focus is on building a more coordinated and practical platform that connects market entry with the execution required to build sustainable operations. The recent agreements demonstrate how a structured approach can help companies expand more effectively across borders.”
While Korean beauty remains the company’s current area of focus, AREUM NEXUS sees a broader opportunity in strengthening commercial collaboration between Korea and India. The company intends to continue developing business infrastructure, partnerships, and operational support systems that help Korean businesses expand into India while creating greater access to Korean products, innovation, and brands for Indian businesses and consumers.
